On February 21st and 22nd, Cosmic Aerospace's CX-2 demonstrator aircraft continued its flight test campaign, completing flights three through nine.
This latest test campaign focused on key performance metrics, including:
- Landing gear retraction
- Stability across the speed range (50 to 100 mph)
- Glide performance (engines-off)
- Maximum g-load capability
- Autonomous loiter and approach
- Doublet stability tests (yaw, pitch, roll)
- Single-engine-out handling
With plenty of data now in hand, early results indicate excellent performance across these parameters.
What's Next?
The next phase of flight testing will take CX-2 to higher altitudes, expanding its operational envelope and further validating its aerodynamic and propulsion systems.
